Mango Avocado Kiwi Honey Smoothie
First, let’s take a look at the very simple ingredients that pack a HUGE punch!
Mangos are loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and flavonoids with inflammation-fighting properties. Mangos are a great source of fiber and polyphenols. Polyphenols are found in plant-based foods and help to regulate blood pressure, fight inflammation, and heart disease.
One cup of mango is bursting with antioxidants and over 20 different vitamins and minerals. This is the healthiest drink to help fight inflammation thanks to a compound called EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate). These treats contain flavonoids that have anti-inflammatory properties.
They contain anti-inflammatory properties that reduce inflammation in the body. While short-term inflammation is needed to heal injuries, long-term inflammation is harmful to our bodies and can lead to chronic illnesses. Eating anti-inflammatory foods is a great way to lower inflammation and prevent disease.
The mangos I’m using today are from Misfits Market. You can use this link for 25% off your first box!
In addition to its use as a natural sweetener, honey is used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial agent.
Honey is in a lot of our recipes. It’s an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial agent, and packed with antioxidants.
Avocados are a healthy fat that helps fight inflammation. They’ve also been shown to decrease cancer growth and reduce your bodies inflammatory response.
You can use a handful of frozen avocado or a fresh avocado for added creaminess. In one study, when people consumed a slice of avocado with a hamburger, they had lower levels of the inflammatory markers NF-kB and IL-6, compared with participants who ate the hamburger alone ( 23 ). Avocados offer various beneficial compounds that protect against inflammation and may reduce your cancer risk.2
Kiwi has both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
